A partner in Lebanon
We are happy to announce that we have signed a bilateral agreement with the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in Lebanon. It is one of the best universities in Lebanon with strong international character. The education is trilingual, courses are taught mostly in French, but also in English and Arabic. The main campus is located 15km from the capital city of Beirut, the liveliest city in the Middle East.
We hope to establish stable and long term relations between our two institutions and develop mutual academic and cultural interchange.

I am writing from UCM in the city of Warrensburg where I am as exchange student together with Matea Luković,and Tin Špirić. UCM is a University of around 10.000 students that offers the opportunity to study courses in Economics and Management as in other disciplines. The concept of lessons, the way of evaluations and the manner the courses are managed is quite similar like at ZSEM. The courses are interesting and useful, and professors are excellent. There is an emphasis in interaction through team work in small groups. In this way we went to Chicago and we have also organized travels to St. Louis, Kansas City and Oklahoma. It was a unique experience to visit New Mexico, Arizona and Las Vegas. It is also a very good opportunity to improve English language skills studying with classmates from the USA and all over the world.
Today is my last day at ZŠEM and I am really sorry to leave. I certainly had a great time in Zagreb. The educational process here differs a lot from what we have in Russia and that's what makes this studying experience so special. Of course studying was not the first reason I joined this exchange program. Nevertheless, it is important. But the main thing are the people. People here in Zagreb are very friendly, especially at ZŠEM. We have made friends with many students here and I hope to keep in touch. Thank you for your efforts to comfort us =) Now it is your turn to come and visit us in Ekaterinburg! See you at the Ural State University of Economics) Hvala ZŠEM! Doviđenja!
I went to ZSEM as the first and only Norwegian student from my school, something I thought was a bit scary, but on the other hand nice. My apartment was a nice one, and I shared it with two Finish girls. Nice experience living with other people from another country. On first school day I met all the international students, and the school made a "get to know each other-day". Great teachers and classes. The Croatian students were helpful and friendly, by having smaller classes it was easy to get to know them. I have to say I was nervous before I went, but I would never regret going. The international office at ZSEM is always a place you can go if you want to talk, and they are always helpful. And Zagreb as a city is safe, clean and great place to be, with a lot of opportunities to do what you like. I had a great experience. One of the best part; I got friends from all over the world.
The experience of studying in Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland is helping me to acquire flexibility to go through challenges which I'll be facing in the ever more complicated and globalized business world. Until now, I was able to see how people think in different ways and to come up with various solutions when tackling with problems even if they are same issues. What can be OK for me does not mean that it is OK for others from different cultures and business background. Especially here in Switzerland they tend to associate a lot of group work before solving problems and that gives me rich experiences working in international team as everyone in the group is from different countries. Beside university, there are of course many ways to have fun with friends and so many places with natural beauty to visit.
After three years of studying at ZSEM I wanted to go somewhere where I can improve my English, experience different things and different methods of learning. So I went to Toronto. If only I knew before that those 5 months are going to be the best 5months in my life. It was great; it was beyond all my expectations. Things I've seen, things I've experienced, people I've met, all those things are PRICELESS. School I was going to is Ryerson University. It's one of the three universities in Toronto but the only one in downtown. Studying there is modern, useful, interesting and very dynamic. Toronto as the city is very big, open and interesting. Also it is very cosmopolitan and joyful city with very kind and polite people. To go there and became Ryerson exchange student was the best decision in my life.
Student exchange program to Japan has been an incredible experience. Students come to Ritsumeikan Asian Pacific University from 80 different countries; I have had the opportunity to learn Japanese language and to learn culture and traditions, to travel and to build friendship and work relations with people from all over the world.
Doing an exchange in ZSEM was for me a great experience ! Since the very beginning I felt good in ZSEM because everything is very well organized, the persons at the international office are always available and ready to help you. Croatian students in ZSEM are welcoming, friendly and willing to meet you. What I also like was to be in a real international environmental : I had a Mexican and a Russian girls as roomates, I was in class with students from everywhere : Pakistan, Turkey, The Netherlands, Finland etc. and with foreign teachers also coming from the USA or Canada for example ! I also had the opportunity to attend international conferences organized by ZSEM with Philip Kotler as a guest for example.
ZSEM offers great opportunities to explore the dynamics of active learning. The faculty and staff truly have a vested interest in academic well being and are perfectly complimented by their students, who are some of the most welcoming and accommodating individuals at that I have ever encountered. Choosing ZSEM to facilitate my international studies has been among some of the best decisions that I have ever made.
